Let ah goon be philosophical for 1 day.
FATE. it has a right to bring people together but also irionically, a right to break people apart. Man and Woman meet under unforseen circumstances, feel the chemistry, then before a relationship can occur, one party has to leave the other. During weddings, one often watches the slide show of both the bride and groom, from babies, to teenagers, to adults and now man and wife. How many times do we actually stop to think that "hey, i could have passed by my prospective husband along orchard road oblivious to the fact that in the next few years, i would marry this man???!!!"
that is how fate works. the wonder of it all. marriage, divorce, it's all the work of fate.people always say don't believe in fate, but the results of fate are laid right before our eyes, can we deny that?
I personally abhor the destructive side of fate. I have people around me undergoing divorces, and that really puts me off. It makes me afraid of trusting any guys in the future and makes me contemplate the idea of being single. Being lonely is much better off than nursing a broken heart for an entire life, isn't it? How many guys are faithful in this world?!! Less than 1% of the entire male population, i guess. They always think that girls are such pushovers.
My piano teacher is one good example. I can't believe she actually put up with her husband's infidelity for 5 years because of her children. I would have taken a parang dou and chopped him up into mincemeat if i were in her shoes and feed his rotten flesh to the dogs. It is only recently that she made up her mind to divorce him because his mistress came to look for her. Damn it all! Why are man such insensitive and unfeeling creatures?
Personally, i now carry an adversion to all good-looking guys. they attract too much female attention and who knows when they won't get carried away and decide to look for a new partner in the crowd they have attracted. The feeling of insecurity so poignant.
